I cant imagine having 40 hives, thats a full time summer operation, but I calculated to make a living from beekeeping you actually need 120.
Not been in my apiary this week, but I imagine things have 'taken off' June being a busy bee month. Pardon the pun.
A shout out to fellow beekeeper Paul in Coltob Basssett, get that WBC hive full! He has an empty hive outside his house!
Meanwhile, things have moved on in America...... the Robots are coming ( LOL)
And.....
CIBER Centre for Integrative Bee Research introduced a hybrid bee in the US, using nano technology to give them a biological advantage.
US Beekeepers lose 55% of their managed hives each year. Wild living colonies live without intervention.
The aim of these super bee’s is to breed a bee with lower defensiveness and some varroa tolerance. These are the bee’s that people in the modern world now need. However my belief is that the best bees hale from Africa. Simply because they carry a pure genome.
There is an error unlocking the Geononome, and that error is 2-3%, its exactly that missing 2-3% unknown quality that will cause future problems. Especially when extrapolated into a cyber world and AI. Which people believe is their future.
Survivor bee’s genetics have been manipulated, just like everything in the modern world.
The African bee’s are the best in the world, simply because they are purely breed and need no human intervention. They are still pure.
I am predicting a long hot summer in the UK with its consequences and more bee losses in America. Neither prediction should come as a surprise to anyone.
I have Dr Christina Waters to thank for my input in todays blog.
Happy beekeeping
