BEE CONVENTIONS
My day started at 6am. The drive to Harper Adams University was awful and stressful. I eventually arrived at 8.15 am, just enough time for breakfast and registering for the Bee Convention. No workshops were available because of the demand and ‘selfishness’ of people. Advice for Spring
Its likely there is activity from your hive now. Bee's will start foraging as soon as the weather is good enough. I did my hive inspections last week when it was warm. I am now ready to supply a small number of my best colonies of bee's to you. Winter 2026
The bee's are midway through the winter now. My bee's were fed with fondant this month. Its been quite cold this winter, which makes a change. The current month however is damp and wet, which is not conducive to happy beekeeping. I continue to monitor my hives over the winter, noting number of deaths, and any activity.
